Step 3: The Tiles

The Bamboos

The Circles

The Winds and Dragons

In a game there are four tiles of each tile displayed above.

The Flowers and Seasons

For the Flower and Season tiles there is only one tile of each in the game. The Flowers and Seasons are bonus tiles, and if you are lucky to be dealt enough of them they can give you a high score. You can't use the Flower and Season tiles to make Pungs, Kongs or Chows or to go Mah Jongg, and you can't discard them. Whenever you get a Flower or a Season tile it is placed above your stake and you must take another tile to replace it.
